We invite authors, illustrators, teachers, readers, kids and parents to contribute to our online tribute to the life of BBG!'s co-founder and president Toni Trent Parker, a mother, author and entrepreneur whose dedication to Black families, Black children's books, education and literacy and to the creators, the authors, illustrators and publishers who make all of this possible, touched so many lives. Toni died on September 15th of 2005.

One year later, to celebrate a life well-lived, we have started work on creating a tribute. To participate, send a note, remembrance, poem or sketch—a flower for Toni— to the BBG! webmaster, Cheryl Hanna. Cheryl and BBG!'s new president, Sharon Collins, are creating an online tribute to Toni that will incorporate all of your contributions.
